Saturday, November 29th, we will be having our BIG Fall Sale. Join us from 9am to 4pm for 25% OFF OF EVERYTHING in the store. Everything in stock, including yarn, books, needles, accessories, spinning supplies will be 25% off regular price for our one day sale! Even already reduced yarn will be an additonal 25% off!
We'll be open early at 9am to give y'all lots of shopping time before the Iron Bowl kick-off, so come in early for the best selection. We'll also have many of our store samples on sale, so if you need a quick gift, it's a great time to pick up ready-to-wear handknit items.

22 October 08 - 09:47Say Yes to Silk...
Not that most knitters would say no to silk, delightful fiber that it is. We have a couple of new silk blend blend yarns that have been a pleasure to knit, and make perfect choices for scarves and soft accessories.
First is Berroco Palace, a new yarn this season. This soft, lofty yarn is a blend of 50% merino wool and 50% silk. It's buttery soft!

This simple pattern has a lace border that's so simple to knit! Two balls will make a pair.
A gorgeous handpainted silk yarn option is Lion & Lamb from Lorna's Laces. One skein will make a lace scarf or a pair of fingerless mitts. I just got to visit Lorna's dye studio while I was in Chicago last week, and it was fascinating to see the range of colors and textures!
Like alpaca? You'll love Misti's Suri Silk, a DK weight blend of slick, soft suri alpaca and silk in bright, saturated colors. Try our Nomad's Path Scarf pattern with two balls of this luscious blend.

Class enrollment is now open, so if you need help on a new project or want to tackle an unfamiliar technique, sign up soon. Our group classes are an easy way to work on the project of your choice.
Pia is back! We have spaces available in Pia's popular Continental Knitting class, which is back after a summer hiatus. This method of knitting while holding the yarn in the left hand is growing in popularity and for many is a faster way to knit!

This Friday is our final Mystery Sale, and it's going to be an extra-special one! We'll have lots of items on sale for great prices (some are a steal!), and this time I'll give you a little hint: None of them are fiber. What can they be? Come in Tomorrow to find out!
